Jim and I recorded the 3rd part of the Jasper trilogy with NO outside help.
Jim played rhythm and lead guitars, and sang the lead and background vocals.
I played everything else, sang lead on one line, and background
vocals
(the highest and lowest voices you hear are mine).
The drums were recorded first, for some reason.
Listen to the piano at the end of the song:
It was one time in my life that I felt as if smoke and lightning
were dancing under my fingers.
I recorded the Epilogue alone in the studio late one night,
including the lead guitar parts, without the aid of a "click track".
I played the strings part first, while visualizing the rest of
the arrangement in my mind
The entire bassoon part was next, percussion last.
